On tap at Tony's Darts Away in Burbank, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a khaki head that fades to nothing. No lacing on this one. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, cookie dough, wood, and some port and brandy aromas. Taste is dark roasted malt, sour dark fruits, vanilla, wood, and some port and brandy flavors. There is a mild roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp moutfeel. Overall, this is a very good barrel aged stout with a nice contrast between the port/brandy flavors and the stout base.
