A - Served a cloudy brown with a bit of ruby mixed in and a very thin covering of bubbly head. The head fades down quickly leaving behind some light lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of rich sweet caramel malts with some raisin and dark fruits with lots of residual and caramelized sugars, vanilla, oak, and booze.
T - Starts off with some big rich caramel malts with lots of caramelized sugars and some oak and brandy notes with a bit of booze. Through the middle some more residual sugars some through with the hotness mellowing a bit, and some raisin and other dark fruit flavors. The finish is a mix of oak and vanilla with some rich caramel and booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with mild carbonation. Feels smooth with a warming, sweet, and boozy finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really big and complex barleywine with lots of great flavors mixed in.
