Got a Growler from the Brewery yesterday because i liked the name. Tasted it there, thought it was lovely so here i am.

color is golden, little darker than gold, nice head, goes away semi fast.

Smell is that of my mothers house around christmas time. Wow does this smell like a "treebeer" hahaha rightfully named. Some pine, some funk but mostly christmas tree.

Taste follows the nose a little bit. Right away i get christmas tree, followed by a light bodied breadyness.

Body, light minimally carbonated.

Drinks like an ipa but is not too full bodied, i love this beer!

Tree beer collaboration between Faction and Drakes.

This is called Tree Beer and, true to its name, it’s brewed with an actual tree. A Christmas tree, if I recall correctly.

This pours a golden color with nice foaming. Holy crap, it actually smells like a tree! It smells like Christmas in a cup, literally. Instead of being hop forward or even piney, as in a hop profile which mimics tree-like qualities, it’s just so … different. The aroma has some pine notes, true, but the flavor is just so interesting and complex with the flavors of the tree mingling—it has a whisper of smoke on it, and some sap even. A really curious brew, innovative and challenging but oh so rewarding. One of the more interesting, unusual and offbeat beers I’ve had in a long time.
