L- By lamplight it's almost black, except for a glimmer of ruby when held to a bright light. Hazy, pours with 2Cm tan head.
S- All I get is some wood-smoke.
T- Coffee on the front, roasted grains with a hoppy edge, a sweet note, and that's about it. There's less to it than anticipated.
F- Carbonation in the mouth is rather low. Overall it comes over as quite rich, but the sweet/rich side of it is too prominent for me. In parallel it seems to lack depth/complexity which it's 6.6%ABV should have helped underpin.
O- Disappointing, expensive, too sweet, lacking character/complexity. Not one I'd wish to drink again.
Bought from Wholefoods London/W8 £3.99/440ml can. BB: 29/10/20
