A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 24th April 2019, ‘B7 lunch’. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden straw yellow colour with a just over two finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left some sparse lacing.
Aroma: Tart, fruity sour candy, passionfruit and lime.
Taste: Sour and tart, tangy, lime with hints of mixed berries.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, light bodied with high prickly carbonation.
Overall: Carbonation was maybe a little bit too high, but other than that, this was refreshing and enjoyable.

Simple and efficient this berliner weisse delivers a nice lime presence with a good citric acidity. The mouthfeel is nice with high carbonation making it very drinkable

Brewski is one of the most talented of the newer Swedish breweries. They're most known for their IPAs, but I think they beat pretty much anyone when it comes to this style, Berliner Weisse. This one, 50 States of Freedom, which is a collabaration with Cycle, is made with fresh limes. Anyone visiting the fair country of Sween should give Brewski a go, you won't regret it!
As for the beer, it pours a semi hazy light yellow, with just a little bit of fuzzy foam.
The smell is very crisp and tart, with absolute heaps of lime and some lemon finding their way up your nostrils. There are hints of salt and mint, which gives it a very cocktail-y smell.
The taste is sweet and sour right off the bat. Wonderful waves of lime roll over the tongue, and it's instantly refreshing. The citrus get augmented by a slight creamy, lactose taste, which turns it into a sort of tart milkshake kind of thing. Some salt and just a hint of peach comes in at the end, and the finish is tart and dry.
Mouthfeel is fairly thin, and very sparkly, with nice bubbles dancing around my mouth.
Overall, another terrific Berliner by Brewski. Very drinkable, and just drains away quickly, but there is nice depth here as well.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, green session. Aroma is tart, lemony, lactic with some pickle juice and sourdough notes. Taste is tart, lemony, hoppy, floral, really refreshing.
