Berliner Weisse with LOADS of blueberry and black currant, with a touch of vanilla. Fresh acidity from the berries dominate, with smoother biscuity notes from the vanilla towards the end. Contains lactose.

Pours an opaque, deep purple coloration with a medium, frothy, pink head. Smell is dominated by sweet vanilla and lactose, with some blueberry notes as well. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by sweet vanilla and lactose notes, with a distinct blueberry and lighter, mildly tart black currant note coming through as well, with very little real acidity present. Finishes rather sweet, with a very light acidity and some vanilla and blueberry notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, velvety mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this makes for a terrible Berliner Weisse, I guess that it's a rather decent "Pastry Sour", with the focus clearly being on the vanilla, lactose and fruit additions here and very little acidity coming through. Still, the sweetness never becomes quite cloying and has a rather nice vanilla feel to it, with just enough acidity to balance things out. I dunno, not quite for me, but pretty good for what it's trying to do, I guess, with a rather nice, velvety mouthfeel as well.
