fun arts district brewery, there are so many over there now, its a little brewery row, and its a blast to walk around checking out beers from them, this is a real mellow spot, no frills, small out front patio space, essential in this neighborhood it seems like, long and narrow interior with a bar running more or less the length of the place, casual as can be, with a view to the tanks past the bar in behind there, feels like a pretty standard taproom, they have liquor too if beer isnt your thing. the service was friendly and chatty and helpful, had some beer knowledge, enhanced our experience at the bar for sure, good to have upbeat well informed people working, seems like a no brainer but the amount of these that dont is shocking, so well done with the staffing and training. the beer list covers the bases pretty well, decent diversity and selection, with a lean towards the more hoppy side of things, as the name seems to suggest, and i dug both a hazy ipa and their pale ale, nothing overly exotic it didnt seem, but some clever and well executed brews, certainly worthy. i liked the relaxed nature of the place, the engaging service, and the freshness of the beers i had, and i think this is a nice place to pop into for a few when doing the arts district. being critical it feels slightly generic, like you could pick this up and plop it down in just about any city in the country, the space itself that is, unremarkable if enjoyable, standard in that way. fairly serious beer though, which is what its all about.

Located along Main in the Arts District. Street parking with a small back lot. Darker interior room, with a lower ceiling. Gray/blue painted cinder block walls and a concrete floor. View of brewing equipment through interior windows. Streetside patio. Long angled bar with a patterned top. Other seating at high tables with stools and low tables toward the front and into the patio. Twenty taps with several IPAs and guest brews. Also offers liquor service. Several TVs showing sports. Eclectic music over the sound system. Very helpful and friendly staff. More of a cozy and dark den than some others in the neighborhood.

Located in what appears to be an old mechanic’s garage not far from the Stratosphere tower. I entered from the rear parking area, set among other garages and tire shops, but brightened with graffiti-themed artwork. Dark and dreary inside but with a nice, bright patio on the front side of the building, which opens onto a trendy street in the Arts District.

It was quiet on President's Day during happy hour. Nice atmosphere outside on the patio. Good service from the bartender, but no table service when I was there. 15 home taps plus a few guests. Beers decent to very good, and fresh. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Located in the Arts District, this place has plenty of indoor and outdoor space the passerby to stop in for a bier. Large selection on tap, but just a few available to go. Good music and very chilled out. No food, but plenty of other places nearby to grab something to eat.

Nice brewery a short distance from downtown Las Vegas. Road construction outside. Twelve of their beers on tap and a few guest taps. All of the beers I tried were above average. Worth a visit.

2/26/18 - Walked over down Main Street from Pizza Rock, nice new brewery in the Downtown Arts District. Nice outside seating area, bar long and you can see the brewery behind the bar. Happy Hour $4.50 pours, I had a Belgian Dubbel which was a good offering. Bartender was nice, good service. A few TVs with baseball and hockey on. You can have food delivered and they have beef jerky if you are looking forward to something with your beer. I plan on returning next trip.

Stop #515 on my world brewery tour. Took the "Duece" bus from the south strip. You can get off at the Arts District (Charleston) stop before Fremont experience and it's a short walk to a sort of artsy district with very little signs of gambling which is a nice change. After varying experiences with west coast hoppy beers on the strip (some with terrible tap lines), The pale ale and IPA at Hop Nuts blew me away...so much that I had to get two of the IPA's so early into the evening that it made for a rough next day. The atmosphere is minimal industrial and not much for those traveling with non beer people. If you're solo or with people who like good beer, I'd highly recommend a visit here.

For the past few years, I have had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas once a Summer, and each time I am sure to check out a new local craft brewery (Big Dog, Tenaya Creek and Boulder Dam). This year was no exception, making my way on a Thursday afternoon to Hop Nuts, located just North of the famous Strip. They opened at 2:00pm, I arrived at 2:05 and got to work, ordering a Sampler Flight of five of their 11 beers they had on tap.

I chose the three IPAs they had as well as two Pale Ales, all of which were not bad. The New England style, "Haze Master IPA" however was the best, by far, although still low on the IBU scale for my pallet (75). Wishing to share the bounty of Hop Nuts with friends back in China, where I live, I also bought two individual cans which they offered, including the 18b Pale Ale and Belgian Wit (although they are canning their Hopathon IPA next week).

Even though I arrived minutes after they opened, still, Nikki, the bartender, gave me her undivided attention as I geeked out a little bit on this newest craft brewery find during my world tour. That, coupled with the 90's Rap on Pandora which played over the loudspeakers made for a nice escape from the tourist trap of The Strip, and well worth my Uber ride to and from the "Arts District" where Hop Nuts is located.

Grateful to be able to spend a hour or so at a new brewery in a surprisingly still developing craft beer market in Las Vegas, I would recommend Hop Nuts to anyone looking to avoid the Bud Light of The Strip, and instead, sip on something a lot better...

Hop Nuts is really dialing in their recipes and making some quality beers. Perfect set up with a bay door and some outdoor seating. Relaxed vibes with laid-back clientele. As for the area, I think people are off base by saying it's sketchy. It's on Main St. near Charleston with other newer bars, boutiques, and shops. Y'all just soft.

This place is located on Main St in between the downtown Fremont area and the Stratosphere, which is not really a nice area. Inside the place is very dark and during my visit played some heavier rock music which was good. The bar is very big, and seems to have barley in the bar top for a neat look, but overall there is not a comfortable feeling here.

There were 12 house beers and 7 guest beers on during my visit. The two beers I had were good. Service was spotty as the single bartender kept disappearing.

I wish this place was located on the strip or in a better area, but unless I am on Main St again, I don't think I will make the effort to come back - I'll just find their beers elsewhere to enjoy.

Visited on 5 on a Sunday. Very much of a dive bar feel. Long bar, maybe 25 seats, tables behind. Maybe a dozen people when I came in. 12 of their own on tap plus 8 guests. Their beers are $6/pint, guests are $6-8. Decent mix of styles.

Edit to add that in the last year they’ve been doing a lot of hazy IPAs if you like those (I do). Their offerings aren’t quite world class, but they are probably the best of the local breweries.

I visited Hop Nuts last weekend while doing the rounds of Vegas breweries. It's a decent enough place; there were 12 house taps (two of which were blown -- could be a good sign) plus 8 more guest taps including ciders. I felt the beers were all pretty standard; nothing blew me away but everything seemed well-crafted and tasty enough. Service was merely OK; our server was efficient enough but didn't really engage with us so we couldn't really talk to her about the beer much. Overall, not a bad place, but there are better destinations if your time in Las Vegas is limited.

This newer brewery is located in Las Vegas downtown area which is a bit north of the strip. It is adjacent to a coffee shop that it shares a patio and bathrooms with. Inside it is a pretty dark space with a long bar and a couple tables. While beer is clearly the emphasis they have a full hard alcohol bar and stay open late, as is the norm in Vegas. Typically has 8-10 house beers and 4-5 guest taps. Great price on a 4 sampler getting 6oz of each for $12.

The focus here is on hoppy beers and they do them well. Green Mamba their DIPA is the big stand out but their 18b Pale Ale and various IPA offerings are quality too.

My knock on this place is the service can be slow with often only a single bartender servicing the whole space and while this is shallow the location is in a sort of seedy area. Not that enjoyable to be hassled by bums trying to drink on the patio. Also because a full scale bar and no food can't bring people under 21 inside.

Kind of a dark bar setting with a fairly limited draft selection.

Disappointed that the DIPA keg kicked before I could try it.

Staff was friendly, and beer was decent.

Revisited in 6/2019 - much better selection of IPA and DIPA. Seem to really be stepping up their game!

Las Vegas has a plethora of mediocre breweries---finally we have one which rises above the rest. The beer brewed here would be competitive anywhere, with a nice west coast hop feel similar to what you might find at one of the better SD breweries.
