Hey look at me, writing the first review for yet another beer here on BA. Had this last Saturday at the 23rd annual dipa festival in Hayward, CA. Imagine having that longevity in the industry, takes people skills. Ironic to point out amongst locations relative. Anyhoo, this pulled the silver medal.
Pours a clean looking golden color. 2/5" white head when scaled. 4 hops. Mosaic, Nelson, Strata and Simcoe. Dang. Joe Dirt Dang. Yes, it smells very nice. But at four different hops, you start to step on my fave (Nelson). So it restrained its garlic and weed aspect a little bit, substituted some of that winter pine forest, still kicking berry smells. Light gooseberry white grape influence, you can't completely silence Nelson even if you dump a bunch of other hops with it. The body is nice and light and its pretty easy to drink, typical west coast dry finish.
I wish I was south of Sac more often than east or west of it. Would visit this place more often. This is pretty good dipa and easy to understand how it medaled.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
