Look: A dark dark espresso looking beer with minimal head, the head is light tan and creamy.
Smell: A rye note, dark roasted notes, espresso, caramel, toast, and yeast. hops are fruity and floral.
Taste: A rich rye note, with smoke, roasted malts, espresso, chocolate, caramel, and toast. The hops are more floral with a touch of grapefruit, and floral.
The mouth feel: the beer is slightly astringent, and carbonated.
This is a dark horse of a beer, it is different. The beer has a lot going on with it. It is okay. I think this is the one beer that they could refine more to make it absolutely awesome.
