Lion Brown Draught 4.0% 330ml bottle [NZ Brewing, Auckland] BB 8/2014 from Countdown in Dunedin, NZ
Pours amber with a moderate, sudsy, off-white head that leaves sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma: some light bready malts but mostly herbal/grassy hops with a touch of fruit. Smells more like an ESB than a brown ale.
Flavor: Mild; a touch sweet up front and mildly bitter by the finish. Not as flavorful as one might hope.
Feel: Very smooth, medium-light body; good, soft medium-high carbonation.
O: a decent and typical but unremarkable NZ beer.
