Pours dark with small head. Smells of coffee, but definitely also wheat. The coffee comes through in the tastes. Full body taste with good carbonation.

Opaque black coffee color with a foamy tan head that manages some nice lacing.
The aroma is coffee with a hint of roasted malt and chocolate.
The taste is also coffee forward, notes of chocolate and roasted wheat malt gives a bit of biscuit flavor. The finish is slightly sweet but not objectionably.
The body is medium, carbonation is a bit high, but this is a very drinkable brew.
Altogether, this is a tasty and enjoyable take on coffee stout, very nice..

12 oz can poured into Odell snifter.
Has a dark body with a tall loosely knit bubbly brown head of 2 fingers, leaving lace up the sides as it recedes.
Aroma is coffee and dark chocolates, with some nutty brown malt and very slight detectable metal.
Flavor is somewhat acidic and fruity, with cheap ground coffee and red berry acidity throughout the coffee grounds. Ends roasty and like a cheap cup of coffee. It is very drinkable though.
Feel is heavily carbonated, slightly slick, with some roasty dryness and acidity on the finish. Light alcohol warmth.
Overall it's okay but nothing fantastic. A run of the mill flagship coffee stout, not one to get too excited about.
Price paid : $1.79 / can
Would buy again : no

Poured from a can. Dark with a tan head and some lacing. Smells of malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the smell with hints of vanilla. Flavors come together well in this solid coffee stout.

Appearance: A bit of a bubble show lands about a finger's worth of beige head atop the espresso colored liquid; good lacing action
Smell: Chocolate and coffee with hints of roast and vanilla
Taste: A hint of sweetness on the front end as the chocolate kicks things off; the coffee quickly builds and brings along a hint of vanilla; roasty, through the middle, though the finish is on the sweet side
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Eminently drinkable, with nice chocolate and coffee flavors

If you like dark, rich coffee, you will love this beer. Lots of coffee flavor without the bitterness. Smooth and silky. Would love to try this on nitro.
