A sessionable beer for hop-heads, this lower abv pale is hopped to the max with juicy pacific northwest hops.

I had this beer from tap while enjoying some burnt ends in Kansas City, MO. Poured into a shaker pint glass, this beer is a golden yellow color with excellent white head and curtain lacing. Clean grassy smell and taste, but the flavor is bright, lemony and hoppy. Good fell on the younger and overall a great beer for bbq.

Straw yellow with a foamy white head, moderate retention and some decent lacing.
The aroma is citrus, tropical fruit, pine, caramel.
The taste is tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, light caramel malt, mildly sweet. The finish is drier with lingering pine and grapefruit zest.
The body is medium, good carbonation, crisp but still smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether a very tasty and refreshing brew, very nice and enjoyable.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a medium golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading to leave a moderate level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a pine and citrus hop smell mixed with a bit of graininess and some biscuit and caramel malt. Along with these smells comes notes of grapefruit and some light tropical fruits of mango and pineapple.
Taste – The taste begins with as one may anticipate from the nose, with some caramel and grain mixed with hop flavors of grapefruit and pine. As the taste advances the hop grows slightly stronger at the expense of some of the caramel. Some of the light tropical fruits come towards the end, and with a bit of herb coming along for the ride, one is left with a rather crisp, but nice moderately hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to slightly lighter in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is high. For the pale ale style and the moderate abv. the feel is good and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – A rather decent and flavorful pale ale overall. Nothing outstanding, but nice none the less.

poured from can (no date found) into a small tulip glass. Nice yellow straw color with a nice white head, but dissipates quickly, not much lacing on the glass.
Aroma is of citrus with some grapefruit, orange with some notes of pine.
Taste: Taste is citrus with mango, grapefruit orange, with some notes of monk fruit. Taste is pleasing up front, but instead of a nice hoppy finish, get some resin taste on the back end which is not pleasing.
Feel: nice mouthfeel is light refreshing, good summertime beer.
Overall: Really want to like this beer, but the resin aftertaste loses me. I'll likely try again, as I'm not sure how this beer was handled or the date which may be part of the reason for the aftertaste.

Appearance: Pours a medium-golden color that is clear and has effervescent bubbles. A large white head. SRM of 8. (4.25)

Aroma: Moderate to strong juicy aromas of orange, mandarin orange, cream, sweet/candied apricot, hints of stonefruit. Juicy with some underlying pine behind it. (4.00)

Flavor: Flavor follows with more juicy flavors. Even a flowery component to it. Lighter on the tongue too. Orange citrus, flowery apricot and strawberry. Juicy and not as sweet as I expected. Slightly creamy, but minimal malts and mostly a hoppy finish. (4.00)

Feel: Has a lighter-body with strong carbonation. Finishes clean. (4.00)

Compared to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale 1/21/21: Pours a lighter color. More juicy aromas of orange, peach, strawberry. Less earthy and caramel. Lighter bodied and flavors.

Overall: A nice a juicy IPA with great orange, grapefruit, with some sweeter berry or stonefruit flavors. Very juicy, but a lighter body. I was expecting it to have more malts, but this one is mostly juicy hops with a body that drops off. Excellent carbonation. I'm rating this beer a 4.02 which is Excellent, but I think this one slightly exceeds its rating on this site. (Final Rating: 4.02)

A sizable, frothy head emerges from this neon green can, under which the murky, yellow body is effervescent. Alpha Pale Ale's smell is subtle, yet impressive; even a bit mysterious. There is definitely citrus here, but a single note does not overpower the others. The taste is similar but muted, with a dry finish that creeps in as you swallow.

While Boulevard still makes some absolutely world class Farmhouse Ales and Rye Beers, this easily unseats Boulevard's Pale Ale as the best distributed APA in town.

Poured from a can. Golden in color with a fluffy white head and lacing. Smells of pine, biscuit and citrus. Taste follows the smell. Very good flavor and juicy mouth feel.

I figured I'd be off the reservation yet again, but there's not much to complain about with this one. Poured from 12-ounce can into a "snulip" glass. Slightly hazy amber-colored body, with a full three fingers of thick white head. The heal lingers for a while before settling to a thin ring, leaving lots of spotty lacing. Big aromas and flavors dominated by the Northwest hops, with tons of pine, tropical fruit, grapefruit, and citrus zest. Lots of bitterness from the high alpha hops, and enough of a light caramel malt presence to provide a canvas without being obtrusive. Medium body, mostly dry finish. Appreciate Alpha for what it is, and "session" it to your heart's content!
