Good kettle sour. It does "lash" the tongue a bit with the tartness. Hops present but not the centerpiece. Don't remember pronounced funk or anything wild about it.

im not sure this is a wild ale, i think its a kettle sour, it has that kind of bright acidity to it, nice fruitiness to it, well hoppy, apples and lemons come to mind, some tropical hops, really flavorful, really light and easy drinking. its a little hazy in the glass, very pale in shade, and with a short but lasting white head. the lacto here is very clean, none of the dirty sweaty kettle souring weirdness, this is more expert than that, more refined and cleaned up. juicy and hoppy without much bitterness at all. i would imagine this has some wheat in it, although i taste more of a belgian pils type malt before i do the wheat, its very mild on the grain side of things. decent carbonation and a good puckery acidity make this a nice summer beer, not so acidic you cant have a few of them. looks like they do some cool fruited versions in the taproom, i could imagine those being really good too. citrus notes in the finish with the lactic tang. solid beer, all of the beers at torn label were very good. they should package this one, these hoppy sours are all the rage right now...

A: Apple juice-like appearance. One finger head.
S: Pleasant "dry hopped sour" smell I remember from Prairie Funky Gold Mosaic. Fruitier and juicier than the taste.
T: More tart than sour. Pretty thin, but still has the sharpness I want on a sour ale like this.
F: Refreshing, light summer feel.
O: Had this on tap at Grinder's in Crossroads, KC. Enjoyed that tap pour and bought a bottle. This exactly what I want in a refreshing summer sour.

If I did not know better I would assume that this was ginger ale by looking at the off beat light brass to gold color. There's a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering the majority of the middle. The aroma is of carbonated raspberry flavored drinking water and pale malt. I taste tart raspberry, blackberry, and watermelon rind. The mouth is moderately carbonated, bubbly, and dry like a champagne due to lactic acidity. This is interesting, but I think it needs some tweaking.

22oz bottle. Poured out a hazy, golden yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. Green apple aroma with . lemon rind and caramel. Tart lemon and sour apple taste and toasted caramel.
