At International Tap House in the Crossroads, KC. Poured a fairly thick, OJ like appearance with a very small, white head. It smelled of tropical fruits and hints of caramel. Sweet and juicy tasting with a very mild bitterness.

Pours an apricot orange with a slight fog to it. Head foams up white in color and two fingers in height after a moderate pour. Head retention is good, with good lacing left behind. Aroma oozes hops, with citrus, tropical, and lime. A solid biscuit malt note gives the hops a solid foundation. Flavor profile opens with tropical citrus hops, and then weaves through wheat, lime, and oranges. Mouth feel has a bit of abrasive bubbly to it right at the on-set, but smooths out to form a slightly grainy, medium-thick IPA. Overall, a solid IPA brewed for a great cause. Whether you're drinking this to support the troops, support local breweries, or try a good IPA - you won't be disappointed.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

a wheat ipa brewed to commemorate some military dudes, very good ipa, apparently a good cause too. the have loaded this to the gills with juicy new world hops, mosaic for sure, maybe some amarillo too, its fruity and tropical and clean for being wheat based, nice and dry, oily, and only moderately bitter. one of the best beers i have had from these guys so far, but truth be told, i have liked them all pretty well, these guys are really killing it. a little hazy to this, but not milky thick or loaded with sediment or anything, and the head is tall and white and airy, with near perfect rings as i sip it down. there is just a hint of orangey pine in the nose, but the flavor is almost all citrus, lime and pineapple come to mind, almost more of a tropical cocktail than a beer in terms of the hop complexion here, really delicious and even mouthwatering. the alcohol is right where it should be in the style, i could drink a lot of this. there has been a real ipa booze creep lately, pushing the average ipa up over 7% abv more often than not, nice to see one somewhat reserved, id rather drink a lot than a little most of the time! wheat gives it some body and a nice fresh cereal flavor underneath the hops, this is well rounded and very nice when ice cold, seems quite summery to me. very enjoyable hop profile here!

Poured a hazy amber orange color with under a fingers worth of white head that disappeared instantly. The smell is pine upfront with a lemon citrus background. The flavor is citrus and fruit up front with less pine and bitterness than the nose suggests. The feel is very smooth, medium, and not very carbonated. I am glad to have an opportunity to try this beer and donating to the cause. It is a very well done IPA with great flavor and aroma.
