Poured out a slightly cloudy golden color with a small, fizzy head of foam. It smelled floral with pine and citrus notes. It tasted sweet and citrusy with a touch of bitter, piney hops. A touch of booziness, too.

Pours a blazing copper orange, with a tinge of haze and frost to it. Head foams up with confidence, and peaks at three fingers after a pour that began aggressive and finished moderately-aggressive. Head formation is white, with tightly laced bubbles and good retention. Lacing is one-dimensional, but encompasses the entire glass. Aroma is teeming with hop notes. Specific notes include: citrus, sugarcane, and biscuit malts. Very lively, and sweet. Flavor profile dunks the palate in hops, with notes of citrus, mango, biscuit and bread malts, and a little sugarcane. Mouth feel is filling, with some fizziniess and graininess. Thickness is notched at medium-thick, with a filling feel. Overall, a DIPA that has a lot to offer. It leans towards the sweeter side of the spectrum, perhaps to cover up some hop bitterness, but offers an otherwise smooth and tasty beer. Not too much going on here, but it does have some solid things going for it.

Served in a 12oz snifter.
