Clear but very dark cola brown with a modest but lasting tan head.
The aroma is rich malt and bourbon.
The taste is the same, rich roasted malt combined with a seriously boozy bourbon, notes of molasses, dates, raisins and plums, somewhat sweet. The finish dries out with some alcohol, coffee and cocoa notes.
The body is full, moderate carbonation, oily smooth. This one is meant for sipping.
Altogether, this is a big, boozy dessert or after dinner brew, definitely not a sessioner, but tasty and satisfying, especially for cool weather.
