Opaque black coffee color with a decent milk chocolate head and even some nice lacing.
The aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, burnt toast, brown sugar.
The taste is all of that plus cocoa, dates, figs and plums. The finish is dry with lingering coffee and burnt toast notes, moderate bitterness.
The body is full, moderate carbonation level, oily smooth.
Altogether, this is another big somewhat boozy brew. This should be best as an after dinner drink or simply sitting around the fire on a cold winter day.
