On tap at Swiftwater Brewing Company in Rochester, NY.
Pours a light golden amber, fairly clear, with a small half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells exactly as described on the board- I get some ginger, lime, and a little bit of cilantro, along with some pine and grapefruit.
This succeeded a lot better than I thought it did. Swiftwater nailed the adjuncts, but made it so they weren't overwhelming- everything in balance and moderation, as it should be with a wacky combo like this. The cilantro is the mildest aspect, with the ginger taking the biggest prominence amongst the adjuncts. It's still undeniably an IPA underneath- and a good one at that- with a some mild toasty malt, and a good helping of pine and grapefruit hops.
This is fairly light bodied, with a crisp, and juicy mouthfeel. It goes down really easily, despite the different flavors. There's a good level of carbonation.
What a beer to be on the menu on opening day. Not a lot of breweries would lead off with a beer like this.
