On tap at Swiftwater Brewing Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark brown, almost black, but not opaque. It has a fluffy, creamy head of about one inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells really strongly of vanilla, even though no vanilla was added. There's some sweet chocolate as well.
This tastes quite smooth, with moderate sweetness. I do wish there was a bit more roastiness to this one, though. Not a whole lot of complexity beyond the chocolate and vanilla here.
This is medium bodied, slightly thin for the style, but still creamy and relatively full in the mouthfeel. There's a lower level of carbonation.
I think a few tweaks and a small bump in ABV would really improve this one as it has a lot of potential.
