On tap at Swiftwater Brewing Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a glossy looking dark black, with a small head, and not a ton of lacing.
Smells like strong but tasty bourbon, smokey roasted malt, and chocolate.
This is better than some of the other barrel-aged beers they've done so far, because it's using actually decent barrels. It's Buffalo Trace here, and provides some nice and bittersweet vanilla, with well integrated bourbon, with bitter chocolate, heavy roast and smoke, etc. It's definitely tasty.
This is medium bodied, with a creamy and substantial mouthfeel, and a normal level of carbonation.
This isn't quite exemplary, but it's still very tasty.
