Collaboration with Mortalis Brewing Company
This Mai Tai inspired sour IPA starts by blending Amarillo, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Cryo Citra hops, with milk sugar, a touch of molasses + Turbinado sugar, almonds + Orgeat from Fee Brothers, fresh oranges + limes with pineapple/blood orange puree. This is the first collaboration between Swiftwater Brewing and Mortalis Brewing. Boat Drinks was designed to bring you back to a better time, in the sun, with friends and tiny colorful umbrellas.

This one pours a fairly hazy light orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lactose, almond milk, earthy cherry juice, orange creamsicle, blood orange, and lime.
This is an absolutely ridiculous beer and it works quite well. The almond and Orgeat syrup is a genius move here- as it lends such a wonderful decadent creamy character here. Different sips had differing almond intensities, which was cool. There's a touch of cherry sweetness somehow, and it works really well with the almond. I might be mistaking the cherry for the molasses, who knows? There's the expected sour citrus too, lots of blood orange, some Orange Julius smoothie type things from the milk sugar addition, etc. I got lime on the nose, but not really in the taste. This is definitely pretty sweet, but the touch of acidity on the back end helps balance that out.
This is very creamy, and pretty rich, but still drinkable. It's got such a soft but refreshing feel to it.
This is definitely reminiscent of a fruity delight that you'd have during the summer, hopefully on a boat. This is a great job by both breweries.
