On nitro tap at Swifwater Brewing Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a big fluffy and steely head, and lots of lacing.
The coffee is somewhat muted here, but there's lots of roast and dark chocolate, with some light fruitiness.
Like most beers that are served on nitro, this would be much better if it was served via regular CO2. The coffee is definitely muted, but there's a killer roast and dark chocolate character to it, and it's very creamy tasting.
Probably because of the nitro, this is a bit thin. It's definitely very drinkable, though, with a nice creaminess.
Take this off nitro, and it would be excellent. It's just pretty good, as is.
