Our take on the Weathered Souls collaboration, Black is Beautiful, with proceeds benefiting New Georgia Project. We teamed up with Atlanta Harvest to drop a boatload of blueberries into this roasty stout.

No head forms, rather only a thin, golden brown veil flashes over this jet black beer with no highlights. Spotty lace forms while swirling, as does a fine viscous film. The beer is thick and syrupy in a PBGC Imperial snifter.
The aroma opens with strong roasted chocolate, quickly followed by black coffee. Faint licorice is also present.
The flavor is especially bitter for a Stout. There is a ton of espresso. Bakers chocolate is clearly evident. The finish is long and bitter from what appears to be a burnt malt. A touch of lactose may be present as well.
A full body and slick texture with modest, creamy carbonation. Alcohol starts high, as expected, then fades with warmth, which is counterintuitive.
This is a nice beer, though I think it deserves to have been better than my experience. It is too muddy and bitter. Similar to the All Together beers, I had hoped for something special, only to find a good, but rather ordinary beer.
