Bottle purchased from Swiftwater Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a darkish red/brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like raisins, vanilla, bourbon, caramel, prunes, maple, and molasses.
The taste is good stuff - it's super approachable, with no real boozy notes at all. There's lots of dark fruit notes - dried cherry, raisins, prunes, etc. There's some light barrel-ish vanilla sweetness, along with caramel and molasses sweetness. This is really well balanced.
This is just about as drinkable as this sort of style is ever gonna get. It's medium bodied, not super thick but not thin either. There's no booze to this, and a lower level of carbonation.
