This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a big fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey, molasses, roast, smoke, ginger, and cinnamon.
This is definitely somewhat of a take on Hardywood Gingerbread Stout, and I think I like it better than the base Hardywood GBS, at least. There's a nice roast character, and maybe even a a slight touch of smokiness here. The cinnamon is not done overwhelming at all.
This is medium bodied, somewhat creamy, with a good drinkability to it.
This isn't the best from either brewery, but it's still a decent little stout.
