Dark brown. Tons of mocha head. Solid retention and lacing. Dark fruit, toffee, coffee and hint of coffee smell and taste. Average carbonation and feel which is nice for the style. Overall very good beer. Definitely worth getting if it is available.

This one started kinda sour, but that aspect moderated as it warmed and lingered. It's is a solid, very good beer. But it doesn't quite hit the spot, so far as making me feel like I need to get more.

Poured from the tap into a sampler glass with very little head. Dark molasses color with some highlight on the edges.very little lacing. Solid sampling of a quad which normally isnt my favorite but it masks the alcohol well with a solid offering.

Cola-colored and translucent.
Smells sour and ensorcelling. Brown sugars, Belgian yeast. Wow.
It is weirdly sour. I don't know if this was wine barrel aged? But I actually really like the fruity tartness. It is the berry topnote above the candy sugar and yeast. It's really, really good.
Slightly thin, but okay.
This avoids my least favorite facet of American quads-- cloyingness. If you can't nail the yeast strain, cover the fact with other, wilder yeasts. Clever. Highly recommended.

Tastes like sweet whiskey. Flavorful but blegh.
