I've listed this version separately because it is only 4% abv and contract brewed in Salt Lake City by Uinta. Pours an light amber gold with an off-white/sandy head. Nose is crushed pine needles and grapefruit over thin (hardly detectable) unsweetened cake batter malt. Malt flavors are barely noticeable: traces of toffee and biscuit. Hops dominate. Bitter, piney, resinous, and tongue-numbingly acidic. Unbalanced to say the least, both for lack of malt flavors, lack of body, and lack of alcohol to support such high levels of hop acids. Overcarbonated slightly, with a dry feel. I wish we (Utahns) could get the real Humpy's Sockeye Red IPA.
