First off, the nose is booze and the taste follows with booze and barrel - not bad but up front. As it warms, the Ancho chile spice comes to life and adds to the taste along with the dark chocolate, dark roast malt with prunes and brown sugar. Very nice.
This is a beer that would benefit from cellaring I believe. It seems that it needs to come together that only time can accomplish. Looking forward to what a year or two will do.
