From the bottle: Imperial Horchata Spiced Stout. Malt beverage brewed with natural flavors and aged in port oak barrels.
This ought to be interesting.
First whiff conjured memories of fresh out of the oil cinnamon sugar donuts and sticky buns with raisins and butter. Poured typically with a chocolatey head and deep molasses color.
The horchata dominates the flavor. The earlier smelled breakfast confections along with chai, cocoa and red wine are all players in the flavor. Dry boozy finish.
I can see where some might not care for this one, but I sure did. I doubt I'll be lucky enough to score another one of these but if I am, my plan will be to split it with someone after brunch.
I wish I hadn't bought the last one in the store. I wish I had bought the last 4 in the store.
