Golden color, thin head, scant lace, effervescence from down below.
Corn stalk, wet straw, corn kernel and rutabaga come to mind in the nose.
Taste still has this funked up vegetable and wet cardboard thing going on. It's predominant above even the corn husk and grassy sugariness. It's all I can think about despite some of the nice backing bitterness that it has to offer.
The mouthfeel is quite good, actually pretty well spot on. A bit sharp, medium bodied with good co2.
Well it's hard to say what went wrong here. I don't know if i got an off/unrefridgerated bottle....fur rondy was only a month ago so it couldn't be old, although i don't know when it was brewed. Or it could be a recipe in need of a little adjustment. But there are some seriously off flavors within, and that's the detractor.
