L: The color is right, but the visible carbonation dissipates quickly.
S: Very toasty. Stout-like without the playful notes of Belgian yeast.
T: Not at all like a dubbel. The flavor is more similar to a heavy dark lager with its mild roastiness.
F: Very heavy bodied. It feels like an imperial Stout more than a dry dubbel.
O: I'm fairly strict on self-styled Belgians, but this one falls well outside anyone's reasonable expectations for the style. If you're going to try it, approach it like a Belgian stout.
