My last experience with OS was not so good. This is much better.
Fruity - dates, raisins, cherries. Not overpoweringly spicy, enough to be interesting, but not cliche pumpkin spice. Molasses and malt, especially on the nose. Like Christmas cake it's been suggested to me, and I gotta agree. Sweet, not treacly, but sweet enough that you'll just be drinking one at a time. A decent seasonal/novelty effort. And as a guy who's not big on pumpkin ales, this is one of the few of the style that works for me.
Decent head settling to a full cap, respectable lace. Not boozy despite being 6.5%.
