Named for the 18 pounds of Falconer's Flight hops from boil to dry hop. Big, malty, and hoppy without the extreme bitterness.

12 oz. pour at the brewpub. Has a bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pine, malts. Taste follows the aroma, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

DATE: May 13, 2023... OCCASION: fresh off Joey's CSA win and tie, we return to the Eden for a night of team bonding and craft drinking... GLASSWARE: plastic cup (!)... pours a darkened brown body, denser than expected for an IPA... its head from an hour-old growler quickly rings with an off-white halo... pine, citrus, lemon, and a healthy bread and caramel malt suggest balance and drinkability at 6.3%... not a strongly discernable aroma.... the palate confirms the nose--drinkable, active and vibrant with a buzz at the teeth and a smooth transition through the throat... its aftertaste holds with pine and malt sweetness, the lemon and grapefruit a subdued wash that is surprising for an IPA...the caramel makes this a fun, multidimensional offering... one that reminds me much of Hop Devil, a neighbor beer whose goal of creating a stronger, balanced ale was before its time... though no one note stands out, the end result is a solid beer I would readily seek out for a long night of carousing with friends--a night such as this...
