In a strip mall off bay ridge in Annapolis, but worth going out of your way for. Great selection of bombers and bottled beer options from local Brewers as well as around the world. Picked up some stone double bastard, green flash, dogfish head 120 min iPa, and allagash curieaux on my last trip

Great beer selection. Prices are reasonable but if you go during the semi-annual dollar above inventory sale you can get some fantastic bargains. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Stopped in here while in MD for the holidays. Unassuming storefront in an older shopping center. Lots of liquor and wine up front with the craft selection in the back. Decent selection of things that you would expect in the area like Dominion, Flying Dog, Stillwater, Evolution, Weyerbacher, and the other distributed goodies. A wall of bombers with Bruery, FW, Perennial, Maine Beer. Was able to grab my first bottle of Brew Dog and two 2013 Eclipse versions: Makers Mark and Evan Williams. Grabbed a Maine Beer Mo with a July date on it but figured what the hell. This seems to be normal for Maine Beer around these parts right now: generally out of date. Prices were on par and I did not see anything outrageous. Great growlers available including BCS, BCBW, Lolita, and Matilda Lambicus. Those were the most impressive part of the store probably. Overall glad I stopped in but maybe not worth going out of your way unless something special is on the growler line.

This was the second time going to this gem of a place.

Atmosphere: In a strip mall and kind of off the beaten path, but cozy once inside the joint. Very large selection of six/four-packs, and a nice showing with the bombers as well.

Quality: The beers were well organized and I didn't see any dust collecting on anything, so that led me to believe they take a lot of pride in their products.

Service: I called ahead and reserved two bombers of DuClaw Colossus and they were more than accommodating about holding them for me for a couple of days so that no one else would swipe them.

Selection: All of the standard items that are typically distributed to Maryland had a showing (ex. DuClaw, Troegs, Goose Island [limited], and many others). They even had Marron Acidifie!

Value: I got a couple of Colossus bombers for $21.99 each! Very nice... Overall, the prices were reasonable and very much in line with what I would expect to pay.

The only thing keeping me from giving this one a straight up A is the fact that they did not have a 12oz. singles/mix and match section. That would have been a nice touch. Overall though, I highly recommend this place.

We stopped here while we were visiting annapolis and were quite impressed--they have a great local selection, a great belgian and decent german selection, and some national breweries you don't see here that often--full sail, goose island, the bruery, river horse, oskar blues, smuttynose, stellar rogue and stone selections, mikkeler and caldera all come to mind. Great bomber selection and fun glassware selection--we got some belgian tulips for half-off for no reason except that the guy said we were good customers. I guess we were, buying 80 dollars worth of beer!

Over the past few months, the beer manager at Bay Ridge has revolutionized the selection. The cases are piled so high some days that you feel like you're in a hedge maze. Anyone who drinks good beer knows that this is the place to buy in Annapolis. The big bottle selection is my personal favorite. Word on the street is that they are going to expand into the next shop and increase the micro selection.

My only wish is that they would begin to offer discounts on beer like they do to wine and liquor such as their case discounts and dollar days events.

Visiting Annapolis from out of town I was impressed with this place.
Not a giant selection of craft beers/imports but easy to find good
beers in both categories.Local products were well represented.
Had a few Belgians and picked a bottle of Rochefort 8 for $6 .It
was nice that beers could be purchased warm or by 6-paks in cooler. Finally best of all prices seemed very reasonable. I checked out some of the other establishments selling beer in the area and this was by far the best. Also had a large selection of
wine & hard liquor.

Stopped by on a Friday morning to stock up before heading out to Rehoboth Beach for the 2nd Annual Dogfish Head Intergalactic Bocce Tournament.

Situated in a strip mall just outside the entrance to Quiet Waters State Park, Bay Ridge Liquors looks like any other store, but the neon beer signs and paper signs plastered over the windows are kind of a give away.

Upon entering the store, I found a nice little set-up of Octorberfest beers from Otter Creek, Saranac, Fordham, Paulaner, and a few others. The beer section is in the back, beyond tons of wine and spirits. There is a beer cooler on the right side and half of it is dedicated to craft sixers from Clipper City, Clay Pipe, Victory, DFH, Weyerbacher, Troegs, MH, Fordham, Sam Adams, Saranac, Red Hook, and plenty of others. Not a huge selection, but it was current with most of the new seasonals and nothing that looked old. There are also a couple of soda-style coolers on the back wall that have bombers and some other specialty beers including Weyerbacher, Ommegang, Rogue, Orval ($3), Corsendonk, Saison Dupont. Stacks of cases of both craft and macros occupy the middle ground, and there is also a small wire shelf on the left side of the cases that holds some Sam Smith, Saison Dupont, Corsendonk, and Ommegang. Overall, the selection is heavily slanted towards craft sixers and there is only a limited amount of Belgian, English, and German beers available.

Prices were in line for the area, with some things running higher than average, and a few things running below.

This store has a huge selection of wine and spirits available, and they move a lot of macros as well. You'll find a decent variety of American craft beers, but nothing spectacular and their overseas representation could be bumped up, but hey, that is not the crowd they are catering to. Overall, they are not bad for what they are. Not a destination store by any means, but a good, solid alternative if you are in Annapolis and looking for some American craft beer.

Bay Ridge seems to be putting more effort into having some more selection nowadays. I stopped by tonight to find lots of choices from Clipper City (including the Heavy Seas line) and a couple from Fordham. There were also choices from Troegs, Victory, Magic Hat and surprisingly, a lot from Otter Creek. They've also got a rack with some new choices from Ommegang, Allegash, and some English brews from Samuel Smith's and Moorhouse.
It really seems like Bay Ridge is trying to improve itself and I'd definitely recommend a visit for both locals and anyone passing through.

What a difference a good beer manager can make! I first started going to Bay Ridge in the 2002/3 time range, and it was awesome. At that time I would have given it at least a point higher in all the rankings. Sometime in the winter of 03/04 they got a new beer king, and the selections dropped like a stone. Bay Ridge still carries a great selection of the mass-micros, but if you really want the niche craft brew or rare seasonal stuff, you'll have to look elseware. It still is the best beer store in Annapolis, though hopefully someone will top them soon.
