12 oz. bottle given to me by a friend (purchased at Hollingshead Deli in Orange, Ca.).
Pours a dark brown, just a little redder than a stout that was poured at the same time. But this pours with a very nice off-white head that dies much too quickly.
Aroma is malty sweet, light brown sugar, and the faintest hint of hops. The flavor is cola like, malty. Not as pleasing as the aroma.
Mouthfeel is flat and a little watery. Easy drinking, this one is a fine brown ale, but I'm not thrilled.

Presentation: 22 ounce Cali Bomber with a small neck label that says Tuscan Celebrate Life. The main label on my bottle has a completely different appearance to that shown on the 12 ounce bottle in the BA Database. My Bomber has a picture of a pig with a hop made garland on its head blowing a horn. Labeled as SunDown Brown Ale [has this been renamed?? seems like it so I place the Review here]. Listed at 6.4% on the left of the label, but there is no Best Before Date listed.
Appearance: Dark brown body with a fantastic looking smooth creamy thick ½ tan head that lasts. Good presentation.
Nose: Grainy malts with some sweet malts, and not much else, rather basic.
Taste: Delicate roasted feel sits uneasily in a large sweet malt middle. Caramel, and dark toffee fills the rest of taste profile. Rather a basic profile, yet after a few mouthfuls it sits in the mouth easily and drinks rather well. Sweet caramel finish that is short lived. A decent enough Brown Ale.
Mouthfeel: Light to average body that has a very creamy feel.
Drinkability: A very drinkable brown ale, smooth and slick, it slides down very easily.
Overall: Picked up for $2.49 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido. Seems like this one is from a relatively small brewer given the fact that there are only a couple of prior reviews.
Above average Brown Ale, just, but it is worth trying. I know that there is a well established Brewery in the UK called Hogsback; I wonder if this is why the name changed to SunDown Brown Ale??

Poured a dark brown with some reddish hues. Big, tan, foamy head that hung around and left minimal lacing
Very basic aroma of sweet malt.
The flavor was of roasted sweet malts, some caramel and a minor citrus hoppiness. A good creamy mouthfeel but a bit thin on the body.
Smooth slightly sweet aftertaste and good drinkability.
Just an average, basic brown ale.

Dark brown color, large white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malty and slightly sweet. Hops are subdued. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of bitterness.
