Good food. Beer was delicious, server knew the appropriate glassware for the beers, beers were well done according to style. Best part was stepping outside and seeing the mountains!

V-South Park brewing is located next to a True Value Hardware store just off Highway 285 in the smaller town of Fairplay. From the outside, there is not much to look at and the inside is pretty low-key too. A big, warehouse-like space with concrete floors and high ceilings gives the place an airy, empty feel. The crowd when I visited on a Sunday afternoon in late February was mostly apres-skiers like myself and few locals. The relaxed feel fits the town.
Q-I tried three beers and two of the three were pretty good. Nothing that you would travel out of your way to pick up, but I would be happy to have this place as my neighborhood brewery.
Ser-The bartender was friendly and prompt. She took the time to make sure that pours were done correctly and she knew about the beers she was selling. Glassware was appropriate for the style too.
Sel-No guest taps on offer, but for a small, mountain-town brewery, the selection of 14 taps was pretty impressive. South Park had a good spread of styles too, from fruited pale beers to IPAs to a milk stout to a black IPA.
F-South Park has food-truck style Mexican food. The smoked chicken tacos sounded more inviting than they tasted, but the food was not bad by any means.
O-I enjoyed the mellow vibe and unpretentious beers. I think I'll come back for a post-hike beer in the summer.

Tall Ware house ceilings, kinda too big really. Feet bare and bland in general. Handful of people in for a late Tuesday lunch. Beer was just OK with a couple decent beers but mostly mediocre. Standard brewpub selection (IPA, brown, stout). Food was terrible - do not eat here.

Nice range of beers but not a deep selection. Food was decent, but limited. Street tacos and burritos - order the burrito.s

great little stop off brewery on the way from denver down to salida. relatively new, and business looks like its doing pretty well. they had a full house, and its a big space. looks like an old warehouse or something, roomy inside and quite minimalist on the decor. small outside area with picnic tables and a splendid view of the mountains. we had a big group and they handled it well. took great care of us despite being busy, and had beers and food out in a very timely manner. limited beer selection, maybe seven or so beers on tap. for me the ranch hand ale was the best, but the ipa and the oaked pale were also really solid. wish i had time to try the rest of them when we were there. we had some sandwiches that were fine, pretty basic provisions, but food isnt the point, the beer is, and they do it quite well. i really liked sitting outside here in the afternoon just taking in being out of the city. their beer was very solid, and this is a place i look forward to visiting again. just starting to see some of their bottles in the market as well. i wish them well, great time here.

Very chill vibe. It had board games, merchandise, and a good beer selection. The Sidestep IIPA was AMAZING.

New joint. Give it a try if your passing through. I like the Beer. Food is pretty basic. The staff is great and super friendly. Hopefully the atmosphere will pick up as the word gets out. I'm pulling for this place. Especially because there is nothing in that area.
