One of our maltier ales, this amber was within the parameters of an emerging style known as an American Amber. Medium body and hop character.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was an amber color with a sly finger’s worth of white foamy head. Clingy messy lace. The aroma had a light roastiness with some piney hops and a firm caramel malt backbone. Light cracker and biscuits. The flavor was sweet with the malt bill up front, cracker and caramel fully there. Malts linger into the aftertaste and into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt good. Overall, good amber ale worthy of having again.

Had this on tap at Midnight Sun Brewery in June 09, brewed by Moose's/Bear Tooth however.
Color: Red amber fruity looking, carnberry
Taste: Raspberry pomegranate flavor with syrupy taste.
No particular aspect of the beer stands out as exceptional, but I almost consider it a fruit beer the way it tasted. Red Ale with fruit emphasis.

Wow. 'Nuff said. (apparantly not... they won't let you leave anything less than 250 characters here... that's dumb, don't you think? Anyway, if you're in the Anchorage area, definitely give this a try... SUCH a good beer!!!! Okay, am I done yet??)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
