With pumpkin added three times during the brewing process, this medium bodied and amber orange beer showcases the flavor of locally grown Luminous pumpkins with fall spices.

Broken Tooths first shot at a pumpking style beer falls short. I expected more from a brewery that produces such great beer but this feels hurried. While I looks and smells good the pumpkin flavor is almost non existent. There are fall flavors like nutmeg and cinnamon(?) but that too isn't enough to make this beer more of what is expected from Broken Tooth. If Broken Tooth wants to compete with Glacier Brewhouse's and Sleeping Lady (Snow Goose) as one of the best Pumpkin beers in Anchorage the need to kick it up.

First time ive seen the Moose's tooth bust one of these out. Enjoyed with some chicken rockeffeler, and wild mushroom with goat cheese pizza. Excellent.
Pours of the tap a bright amber/orange color that is clear, with a stark white head that retains pretty well and leaves nice enough lacing.
Nose is full of pumpkin spice and thats about it.
Taste is quite nice. Seems like there might be actual pumpkin in this one, as well as all the favorite flavors of pumpkin pie spices. Not overspiced at all, just the right amount, with a good creamy balance and bready malt profile.
Mouthfeel is medium viscosity with good carbonation and a nice slick finish.
Drinkability is actually quite solid for the style. Could probably do a growler of this if i wanted to. Nice.
Overall, a very well done pumpkin ale. As of right now its between this and the classic at Glacier brewhouse for the best pumpkin ale (the style itself) in Alaska. Nothing will likely ever touch Midnight Sun's Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter (now called TREAT) as far as pumpkin infused beer in general, but as far as an actual "pumpkin ale" style, this and Glacier Brewhouse's offering take top honors in the state and beyond for me. Very well done.
