Old school with their hop regime, but softer and more modern with their grain profile, Mad Beach splits the difference between the haze and the bitter with an ale that would make a dolphin drool.
Bright and lemony in color but cast in a glowing pastel haze, Dolphin Drool builds a cottony white froth with a classic hop perfume of citrus, herb, pine and fine botanical grasses. But as the malts coat the tongue, a smooth and creamy taste of honeysuckle, light bread, shortcake and wafers set the tone for flavor.
As the hops outpace the cereal grains, the middle palate soon favors a bold citrusy taste of orange, white grapefruit and a pep of lemon. With a suggestion of juicy honeydew and papaya giving the pale ale roundness and flavor, the session slowly turns to a bittersweet late taste with a growing sense of verbena, green tea, fresh spruce, peppery hemp and pine needle.
Medium bodied and pleasantly serviceable, the ale finishes with an even keel bitter-sweet balance with a medium length afterglow of muddled citrus peel and botanical grasses that's sure to beat the Florida heat.

Poured a light yellow body with good head and lace. Earthy, grainy, hoppy aroma and this light-bodied beer tastes the same as mild hoppiness mixes with a dry, bitter finish for somewhat easy to drink beer.

Pours a clear sunshine color with white head. Smell on taste had citrus and lemon bread with some pine in finish. Crisp with slight hops dry on finish. A good Pale Ale.

On draft at the brewery: pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Light pine, citrus, cereal grains and some hay on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with light fruit and bread notes.

Pale golden yellow, white head with great retention and scattered lacing.
Smell is, again, weak but has some hops, citrus and evergreen, light malt.
Taste is malt, hops, some crackers, not much else but for the style. ...
Medium body, lightish effervescence. Drying finish. Solid but not a standout.
