The Central Florida coast's forecast- a little hazy. Not totally sold on the New England style of IPA making but certainly not a dry and piney as those West Coast varieties, Mad Beach's "juicy" IPA shares what's best of both worlds.
Hazy and mid-golden, Madeira Vice allows for soft translucence underneath a foamy blanket of froth. A bold and fruity scent of citrus, tropical, floral and stone fruit stems from the double dry-hopping regimen of Citra and Simcoe hops. But a first impression of honey, dough and shortcake provide a firm malt and cereal foundation.
As the sweetness relaxes on the middle palate, the lingering sweetness offers to make the fruity hop impressions seem plumper, riper and more radiant. Red grapefruit, tangerine, mango and peach all align in an herbal bellini character as the fruity flavors extend into a clean but pronounced bitterness of spruce, sun tea, verbena, sassafras and peppery hemp.
Medium bodied and rounded on the tongue, the ale finishes fruit and slightly on the bitter side of bitter-sweet. With its malty-dry texture closing the session, the ale extends with a botanical and fruit peel bite.

A good tasting “hazy lite”. Milky yellow gold opaque body with white foam head that disappeared quickly. Poor cap retention, a few spots of lace. Feel is medium, not full nor fluffy. Basically an unfiltered IPA.

Poured a light, semi-clear yellow body with good head and lace patches. Aroma is mild with some earthy hops. The body is light, not watery but close, earthy and citric hops are mild and the beer finishes clean with a slightly crisp finish.

Pours a clear golden color with a nice white head. Smell was citrus and pine. Taste was a nice blend of pine and citrus hops. Mouth feel was clean and hoppy with a good amount of hop bite a bit of sweet dank malts to balance, this was a nicely crafted IPA.

On draft at the brewery: pours a clear yellow golden color with white colored head. Pine, some light citrus fruit, and grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a pine and grapefruit combination.

Had a pint on tap at the brewpub at John's Pass, Madeira Beach FL. Pours a bright orange color, very clear for an unfiltered beer. A lot of light comes through. Aroma and Taste are mostly piney with a little citrus. East Coast all the way. Good level of bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing and bitter, very nice. There are as lot of well crafted IPAs out there, this is one of them. Very tasty, I would have this again.

Light on the smell, but the taste is vet hop forward. I like the bitterness of this beer and that it lingers for a bit. Great beer that will not let you down.

Had this on draft as part of a tasting paddle at the brewery.
Golden orange body with a fluffy white head; left nice lacing in the glass.
Smell has a spicy hop presence, more of an East coast style than the popular West coast style IPA.
Taste has an aggressive hoppiness up front with a balanced malt finish.
Nice amount of bitterness in the feel and an easy drinking body.
This wasn't the best IPA I've had however, it wasn't the worst either; easy to drink and a nice bitterness with a balanced malt finish make this an easy choice to try again.

For an unfiltered IPA, this is a seriously clear beer.
Golden in color with a well retained white head.
Smell is hops and wheat/malt if you can find it.
Taste is very hop forward, mostly citrus, with a faint malt backbone.
Medium bodied, very effervescent. Slightly warming, very dry.
