Arrives near black with a light tan head that says sayonara fairly quickly.
Smell is heavily toasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and something else I cannot define.
Taste is burnt malt, coffee, semisweet chocolate, light hops. Balance is good.
Hovering between medium and full body, effervescence is appropriately light. Slightly dry with a medicinal / soy aftertaste. A good brew.
