An India Session Ale – but wait, what’s a session? According to the Urban Dictionary a session is (censored) – hold on, let’s start again. A beer lighter in body and alcohol but full of hop flavor. A beer that a duck can be proud of.

Slightly hazy amber. Faint aroma. Quite bitter. Distinct mineral taste. Really sharp on the tongue. I am not quite on board with this idea, whatever it is. I think of the taste of Chinese bitter melon— a vegetable taste without any fruit or other hop flavors. On tap at the brewery tasting room in the industrial area near Georgetown.

Served from 12oz bottle
A — Pours a light and quite clear pale yellow color. There is a somewhat thin, white colored head that forms and leaves behind some spotty lacing.
S — Smells of fresh, earthy, rich hops, lots of Columbus going on here. Little bit of citrus and maltiness as well.
T — Tastes much like the nose, with a bit of added bitterness. Little bit of an earthy, piney undertone as well.
M — Light bodied, perhaps a bit over-carbed.
O — Good beer overall, think it would be a bit better if it had a little more body and a touch higher ABV for the style.
