Dark amber brew with abundant foam in the Bitburger lager glass. There's some modest bitterness and the rye spice in the aftertaste. Roasted malt flavor with a little caramel and a sweet note. Fairly substantial body enlivened by the bitter graininess.
This is quite delicious and goes down the hatch all to easy. It's my idea of a lighter but flavorful beer and shows some promise for this brewery. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham. The label says 5.8% for this version.
