From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This nice imperial stout pours
a rugged brownish black with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring,
thin layer, and settles with nice sudsy lacing. Nose of sweet cocoa, moderate char,
mild coffee, and dark fruit. Flavors exceed the nose with dark fruit notes and subtle
light licorice doused in char and chocolate with mild coffee notes and a balanced herbal
hop flavor on the back. Nice mouth feel; full body, medium low carbonation, lightly
coating, and a rich cocoa and coffee finish.
Overall, a solid brew from a great little brewery.
