From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This nice American
styled Oktoberfest pours a deep copper tinged brown with a nice head
of off white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin subtle pool, and displays
subtle light lacing. Nose of roasted malts, brown sugars, subtle fruit notes,
light rye bread notes, and subtle grassy hops. Flavors surpass the nose with
grassy hops surrounded with medium light brown sugars, light rye breaded
malt notes, light berry notes of black berry and under ripened peaches,
and lightly bitter but balanced hops. Nice mouth feel; medium body,
smooth, light carbonation, and a grassy hop and malt driven moderately
sweet finish.
Overall a nice take on a classic style!
Cheers
