The nutty nitrogen taste is there, it is surprisingly tasty for 11.69%, and I mean surprisingly. Smooth taste, nutty finish. Need I say more?

2015 Vintage.
Dark brown with black and ruby highlights, pours with a touch of tan head that quickly dissipates.
Y
Aroma of dates, raisins, sherry, and brown sugar, like a plum pudding.
A bit too much meaty melanoidin in the flavour (Gambrinus Dark Munich?), but otherwise very nice. Lots of figgy pudding covered with sherry-sugar sauce, nice sweet-alcohol balance, with a light bitterness and roasted nut for balance.
Moderately full body has a modest carbonation (could really use more for the style), light residual sweetness, with a slightly drying alcohol finish. Really well balanced for a brew of this strength.
With a little less melanoidin character and some more carbonation, this could be a really great quad. I look forward to future years!
