Dark amber color with a thick thin head with short retention and leaving some laces.
Malty aroma with notes of orange marmalade, caramel malts, tea leaves, yeast and mint.
Flavor with notes of herbal and perfumy hops, orange peel, spices, lots of caramel malts, tea leaves and American yeast. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Bordering medium body with mild carbonation.
I was expecting less malt and caramels and more citrusy for being an APA. Hops are rather tame and more towards herbal-flowery. It feels below its 40 IBUs. It felt to me more like a malty ESB, not an APA. Nevertheless, it has some decent flavors.
