On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, Vermont.
The appearance was nice looking dark amber close to brown color with a slight transparency about it. Just a film of a little white foamy head sat atop the glass.
The aroma had a nice touch of sweet bread, roasted nuts, caramel smooth malts and a touch of lager yeast.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness and pulled in a nice level roasty nuttiness underneath cleanly. Mild bready to nutty aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fine sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice doppelbock sent from the other side of the nation. I'd have again.
