Served in a snifter
This beer pours a turbid, bright yellow color. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
Citrus and melon aromas come from my glass. Grapefruit seem to be the dominant citrus smell.
It has a nice balance of juiciness and bitterness. The taste follows the smell. I get citrus and melon with grapefruit coming to the forefront. The finish is slightly bitter with pine.
Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
This was a pleasant beer to start Independence Day off with. I really liked the balance of the juicy and bitter components.
