This 6.1% ABV, Citra single hopped hazy IPA screams of pineapple and mango. The malted Rye in the beer makes it unique from the majority of our hazy's, and also provides a pleasant body and subtle spice character.

A: The beer is very hazy light pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass and a thin patch of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of lychee are present in the nose along with notes of pineapple and hints of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of gooseberry in the finish. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For a single hop IPA, I thought that this beer was very aromatic and tasty and had enough complexities to keep things interesting.

an all citra hazy here, and of a higher quality than what it seems like so many others are doing in similar beers. the citra pops in this, soft still, but pungent in the nose, fresh as can be, and there from start to finish, not just late onset in the typical dry hop space, its nicely drawn out, bold but with almost no bite or bitterness at all, and a quick finish, no real linger, just very well refined for a hazy, but not without structure and some substance supporting the hops, just dialed in to a very high degree. the citra is obvious from the first sip, a little rawness to the grain, wheaty and earthy with a bit of a starchy character, but fast finishing and dry. i dont get much flavor from the yeast, but i dont need it, and appreciate the cleaner nature of this, seems brighter and lets the hops stand out a little more. an honest expression of citra, a reminder of why we all love it, and a beer that should probably become a staple in their lineup. my wife and i both thought this was fantastic, and we commented on wishing ipa at this quality level was easier to track down in idaho...
